First he channeled Dylan and Cash as he lead his band Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros to produce some genuine instant classics and make the world take notice in ‘09.  More recently, Alexander Ebert confirms genius with a self-titled release, Alexander, which is littered with further examples of legendary wholesomeness of both of song-writing and lyrics.  Truth is probably the most interesting track out of a collection of gems, opening with nostalgic whistles that conjure imagery of a Sergio Leone western, but then dropping a beat and somehow moving into a more contemporary vibe, perhaps a sign of things to come.
